MAC Fonts???

Q: I need New York 18 on my Macbook to play a game. I had it when I first got the Macbook, but then I installed Office for Mac & now it's gone. Can you tell me where to get it & how to reinstall it?

Can you just reinstall the game?

My gues is that some old bitmap font came with the game and was replaced when office installed a group of fonts.

Of coarse, its just a guess but if the game crashes without it, it probably came with the game.

how can i fix the system fonts on a mac mini g4 os x? – MacSoftware

Now than, for some reason safari, iTunes, disk utility, system profiler, and a few other apps won’t open (not every app is affected). A friend of mine suggested it might be a third party font interfering with something, and that i should move the font folders to the desktop and restart.

Well…I did this and now my menus are all blank. I know they aren’t empty, I just can’t see the options that should be there. I tried moving the folders back but to no avail.

So before i can tackle the “how do i fix my mac” general question i figured i start with step one: how can i fix the fonts so I can see what the heck I’m doing?

My mac’s specs: Mac Mini G4 running OS 10.4.11

You do not have a font problem. You have become focused on that because someone suggested it. You have put all the fonts back in their proper places (System / Library / Fonts) and it didn’t solve the problem. Other things can affect menu appearance besides fonts.
